A general group to discuss lampworking techniques, tips , tools, and problems accociated with torch work. We also welcome other lampworkers pictures and videos of their work.
Hi,
I just joined this group. I have a GTT delta elite (love, love love it!) I also have the hot ass foot pedal and a carlisle hand torch, and I agree with your comments 100% on those tools (and I like the light on the foot pedal so you can tell it's on). I have a Jen-Ken kiln with the orton controller. I find it really easy to program and it holds 6 separate programs which is good because I use soft glass too. One of my favorite graphite tools is the infinite rim marble mold. I love the smoothness of it, and it's so easy to use. It's also really well balanced so it feels good in the hands. I can't think of any tools I don't like, but I guess if I don't like it I don't use it and forget about it. There is a digital kiln controller from arrow springs that I really don't like, but I can't remember the name of it. It is very weird to program, but maybe it's just that it's not the one I learned on. I would love one of those paragon kilns with the guillotine door.... ogle ogle
Pizza cutter sounds good, I might have to find me one of those.
