What I would like to start doing with Def Glass is for everyone to post simple tricks to understand the finer points of your trade. I doing think that this is the place for full manuals or tutorials (unless video) about products/pieces.
The WALL: To be used as an informal introduction and so on.
Discussions: Start a thread with a topic similar to something like 'Tool Placement and Usage' -- there are a lot of people who don't even know what a pencil is. That is silly.
Again nothing you find proprietary.
After a thread has been well matured I want to publish it proper to glasscommunity.com with a user called - defglassclan. All tricks or tips that are unique to someone who posted it,, proper credit will be given. I do not plan nor do I expect to get rich from this(or even be able to buy subway with it!), it is merely a means to help others and promote other artists.
If you do not wish to participate, either mention this in your posts or just don't post in the discussions.

A focus on(but not limited to) small to large production operations(jewelry, pipes, prep, etc). Tips on effeciency, shop cleaning schedules, tool placement, proper technique, etc. Vid and pic demos welcome but please do not submit anything you might think is proprietary (meaning, your boss doesn't want you sharing that technique with the general public), we don't want anyone getting themselves in trouble. Also can be used as a spot for those 'wtf' moments when it just doesn't make any sense... we've all been there. Production people have a lot to offer the general glass people as we make hundreds/thousands of a product at a pace that would spin most weekend warriors heads off. Lots to learn!Announcements
