My university got two of these the start of last semester for the intermediate, advance, and grad students to use.  These pipes have put up with the use and abuse of about 15 students with little signs of wear, and most importantly are still totally straight.

They have great balance for 1-2.5 gathers and handle wonderfully for cups. These pipes also work well for other small pieces that take about two gathers, for color cups, blown feet, and the like.

Specifics of the pipe

Carbon steel, metal mouth tip, no grip added.
